I built 3 scis on turn 0 and 4 cols on turn 1. This allowed me to trick on 5 planets; north, south, and all the way east to Ft. Worth. With the ag I had it was a beautiful trick, making each of the planets builders and bringing Home World back to full strength. I kept my scis alive while tricking, so explored all the way to Ft. Bragg and the planet below before they were destroyed.
NeRaK waited until late to make his own pop trick, which allowed him to explore all the way to Ft. Erath. But since I could see it coming I built a BR-2 col there, at Ft. Worth, and at Ft. Parker. NeRaK wasn't pushing me, so I got everything colonized. I then built a stargate to press the attack to him.
NeRaK messed up his trick, going from econ 4 to econ 4. I was econ 9 by that time so I knew that I could wear him down with constant pressure. Unfortunately, either a rewind or a mistake on my part lost me the stargate I had built, so I had to wait an extra turn. This allowed NeRaK to nuke my two outlying colonies. But I stargated a large fleet to Ft. Bragg the turn he was nuking. So the next turn I explored his Home World and then nuked it the following turn.
